Tuesday: Exchange of rough draft - "A Perfect World" essay. Review pp. 297- 299.
Wednesday: Began "The Origin of Seasons"
Thursday: "Origin.." completed. T-F quiz. Reviewing the Text questions p. 509.
Friday: "A Perfect World" final copy due. Spelling test #189. Journal #41: Do you have any bad habits? What are they? Have you tried to change them? What else could you do?

For period: May 5 - 9
Essential learning points: On Plant Kingdom, characteristics of plants, and the four major kinds of plants
Due notes: Final plant quiz on Thurs, Take Home Review due Thurs
Monday: Text & Video Notes
Wednesday: Review on the Plant Kingdom
Thursday: Final quiz on Plant Kingdom
Friday: Visit to Blair Park to build skills for Urban Plant Project

 

Literacy/History with Mrs. Bridges:

Monday:Silent reading. Began discussion and looked at primary documents about the Salem witch trials.
Tuesday:Silent reading. Read about the setting for the story. Began viewing 3 Sovereigns for Sarah.
Wednesday:Silent reading. Began to create a list of characters. Continued watching 3 Sovereigns for Sarah.
Thursday:Library check out day. Silent reading.
Friday:Silent reading. Continued with 3 Sovereigns for Sarah.

 

History with Mrs. Bridges:

For period:May 5- 9
Essential learning points:Understand the 3 major reasons for the Civil War.Students will be able to identify the critical differences between the North and the South.
Monday: Notes and discussion about who started the War. The blue and gray map is due.
Tuesday:More notes and vocabulary on the Civil War.
Wednesday:Students completed an anticipation chart on the War. They also completed a paper on Fort Sumter and the differences between the North and the South.
Thursday:Oral quiz on the vocabulary and concepts learned to this point.
Friday:Students read articles about the conditions during the war and will share 5 important points in class.
