History Literacy with Mrs. Bridges:

For period:Feb. 11-14
Monday:Silent reading. Complete the Colonial Heroines chart. Began working on Fix It Strategies for reading.
Tuesday:Silent reading. Continued working on Fix It Strategies for reading.
Wednesday:Silent reading. Lesson on identifying the differences between fact and opinion statements. Completed a fact and opinion work sheet.
Thursday:Silent reading. Students began working on a work sheet using charts and graphs information concerning Australia.
Friday:Parent conferences.

History with Mrs. Bridges:

For period:Feb. 11-14
Essential learning points:Understand the organization and purpose of the Judicial Branch. Students will be able to understand how each branch effects the others.
Monday: Oral quiz on the Judicial Branch. Students continued working on the questions and packets in class.
Tuesday:Students continued on the Judicial Branch packets. We read an article about the mechanics of electing a President.
Wednesday:More reading about the duties of the President. We watched a video previewing the book fair during parent conferences.
Thursday: Finish all Judicial packets and began working on the chart with the duties of the President.
Friday:Parent conferences.
