Monday:Reading an adventure novel titled Antarctica. Students are completing a time line of new inventions for 2007.
Tuesday:Reading an adventure novel titled Antarctica. Continued time line of new inventions for 2007. Began questions and readings about Puerto Rico.
Wednesday:Reading an adventure novel titled Antarctica. Continued questions and readings about Puerto Rico.
Thursday:.Computer lab to work on Time for Kids units.
Friday:Computer lab to work on Time for Kids units.

 

History with Mrs. Bridges:

Essential learning points:Explain the need for and purpose of the Declaration of Independence.
DUE notes:
Monday: Students worked on questions with the Declaration of Independence magazine.
Tuesday:Students created and then we discussed strengths and weaknesses of the two sides.
Wednesday:Read about the differences between the Patriots and the British in their war preparation.
Thursday: Read about spies in the Revolution. Students are assigned a battles of the war chart due on Friday.
Friday: Video-- George Washington and the Revolutionary War.

Wednesday: Poem due. Begin rough draft of Places in the Heart essay. Introduction paragragh due Thur.
Thursday: Continue work on rough draft. Rough draft due Fri.
Friday: Spelling test #176. Journal #24: If you were ruler of the world, what things would you banish for all time?

Essential learning points: What does it mean to learn? Engaging knowledge of Earth Forces + Extending work for learning about weathering and erosion concepts
