Adventurers Team Notices:

For period: Oct 22-26
Curriculum Quarter Tests : Our students have standardized 7th grade tests coming soon for 1st Quarter Science, English, History, and Literacy lessons. Please converse with your student to learn of our testing schedule.
UMS 1st Quarter Grades : First quarter grading ends soon. Please converse with your student to discover his/her understanding for the level of performance. UMS grade reports will be delivered through UMS school/family convferences.
UMS Conferences for Student, Parent, & Teacher : Adventurers Team Conferences will be scheduled for after school hours on Thurs Nov 8th and for morning hours on Fri Nov. 9th. Please plan to attend. Conferences should be arranged with each student's eighth period teacher.

Tuesday: Reviewed skills for the literacy quarter exam. Viewed 3 Sovereigns for Sarah.
Wednesday:More exam practice. More character discussion. Viewed 3 Sovereigns for Sarah.
Thursday:Quarter literacy exam. Complete vocabulary definitions for terms from the film.
Friday:Finish watching 3 Sovereigns for Sarah. Complete vocabulary definitions.

 

History with Mrs. Bridges:

Essential learning points:Understand the reasons and events surrounding the establishment of the first 2 British colonies.
DUE notes: Quarter exam Friday
Monday:Discussed a web about the Spanish conquistadores. Students copied a list of review terms for the exam. They began creating word maps as their review.
Tuesday:Read 101-103. Discussed the mystery of the settlements at Roanoke.
Wednesday: Read an article about Jamestown. We discussed the reasons this was the first successful British colony.
Thursday:Review for the quarter exam. Students have word maps and a list of important review terms.
Friday:Quarter exam.
