Step 2: Type our username - UMScience7
Step 3: Type our password - student
Step 4: Click on the ‘Log In’ button.
Step 5: Click on the title of the book needed for current assignments.
Step 6: Click on the chapter needed for current assignments.
Step 7: From the left column menu, click on the section needed for current assignments.
Step 8: Enjoy the text.
Step 9: Use the arrows at the bottom of the screen to move forward/backward.
Step 10: Follow the active links on pages to explore more information.

State goal #4: Listen and speak effectively in a variety of situations.
State goal #5: Use language arts to acquire, assess, and communicate information.
DUE notes:
Monday: Spelling pretest #168. Journal #11: "What do you think of the 'moment of silence'
we now have at the beginning of each school day?"
Tuesday: Parts of speech - Viewed "Grammar Rock!" and completed questions.
Wednesday: Parts of speech continued. Write Source worksheet.
Thursday: Reviewed and corrected both worksheet and questions in class. Turned in.
Friday: Spelling #168. Journal #12: "If I could change one thing about myself,
it would be..."

Literacy/Social Studies with Mrs. Bridges:

For period:

Oct.15-19

Monday: Silent reading. Read and discussed the background information about 3 Sovereigns for Sarah. We the began watching the video.
Tuesday: Silent reading. Read and answer questions on Iceland using the booklet.
Wednesday:Silent reading. Discuss and examine part 1 of the video. Create a character chart.
Thursday:Library checkout day. Continue with 3 Sovereigns for Sarah.
Friday: Silent reading. Continue with 3 Sovereigns for Sarah.

 

History with Mrs. Bridges:

For period:October 15-19
Essential learning points: Understand the effects of European explorers on the New World and the Old World.
DUE notes:
Monday:Continue completing the computer lab activity on European explorers. Students worked on a short answer activity when they finished the main activity.
Tuesday:Students completed Chapter 3 worksheet. Both sides of the worksheet and the vocabulary are due on Wednesday. Any late or make-up work is due today. (African Kingdoms, or Columbus quiz)
Wednesday: Students began completing a graphic organizer about the famous European explorers.
Thursday:Continue completing a graphic organizer about the famous European explorers. Take a quiz on the Spanish Conquistadors.
Friday:2 assignments are to be completed. Chapter 3 and the Spanish Conquistadors quiz. Video about Ponce de Leon the fountain of youth.
