Adventurers Team Notices:

For period: Oct 1-5
Adventurers Ambassadors: We have a dedicated small group taking steps to help with school introductions and finding creative solutions for Adventurers learning work. Contact Mr. Apfelstadt or Mrs. Bridges to learn more.
UMS Fire Drill : We will have a school safety drill soon. We hope your families have practiced a plan for home.
UMS Early Dismissal : School in-service teacher training will be held Friday 10/5. Students will be released at 1:15 pm.
UMS 1st Quarter Progress Grade Reports : These will arrive soon. Please contact your UMS teachers if you have a question or comment. With good work, grades can improve.
UMS Fall Holiday : No school, Monday, October 8th.

Wednesday:Silent reading. More time line practice with facts about George Washington.
Thursday:Silent reading. More time line practice with facts about historical England.
Friday:Silent reading. Catch up with all time line activities.

Essential learning points:Understand the impotance of the 3 ancient Kingdoms of Ghana Mali Songhai.
DUE notes:
Monday:Notes on African history and culture. Read about Bantu's and their movement throughout Africa.
Tuesday:Read about the 3 great kingdoms. Students are to complete a timeline and graphic organizer on the 3 kingdoms. Due Wednesday.
Wednesday: Complete double sided worksheet on the African Kingdoms. Due Thursday.
