Adventurers Team Notice on Grades:
For period: CurrentClass grade expectation: Every 7th grade student should earn a B grade or better based on class instruction, opportunity, and grace.
Does the student accurately report a class grade at home?: UMS sends mid-quarter and quarter grades to each family. Our teachers send class reports to each family through students. Your student should be expected to develop the skill to accurately report his/her grade based on experiences with class activities.
What does a class grade represent? : Student class grades represent the cumulative student performance based on thoroughness, accuracy, timeliness of work turned in for classroom tasks assigned.
How does a student compute a class grade? : This will vary by teacher. Your student should know the relative value of his or her work for each teacher.
How does a student improve a class grade? : Step 1: Think & learn on what is needed to meet expectations; Step 2: Make an informed plan; Step 3: Follow your plan & adjust as needed to improve quality of learning work.
How does a student achieve success? : 1 - Self discipline; 2 - Hard work; 3 - Determination
How does a student get extra help? : UMS Teachers & staff offer many opportunities. Contact your student's teachers or UMS Counselor for more details.
