Essential learning points:Understand the 3 major reasons for the Civil War.Students will be able to identify the critical differences between the North and the South.
Monday: Notes and discussion about who started the War. The blue and gray map is due.
Tuesday:More notes and vocabulary on the Civil War.
Wednesday:Students completed an anticipation chart on the War. They also completed a paper on Fort Sumter and the differences between the North and the South.
Thursday:Oral quiz on the vocabulary and concepts learned to this point.
Friday:Students read articles about the conditions during the war and will share 5 important points in class.
